The New Zealand Rehabilitation Association (NZRA), Inc. is a non-profit organisation, and New Zealand registered charity, raising awareness and elevating the voice of rehabilitation in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We do this by advancing education, training and research of rehabilitation, providing opportunities to connect people involved in rehabilitation nationally and internationally, and providing leadership in advocating for excellence in rehabilitation. Our membership is made up of health professionals working across the care continuum, people who access health and disability services and their whānau, health and disability advocates, employees within health funding agencies, as well as researchers and academics.
We are committed to working relationally as tangata Tiriti. We honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and acknowledge Māori as tangata whenua. We aspire to be mana-enhancing in how we work, and to be actively pro-equity and anti-racist in our actions.
